 BBVA's strategic objective in all the countries where it operates is to transform itself into a digital bank and reaffirm its leadership. 

 

Initial Situation 

 

 BBVA Bancomer has a network of more than 1,800 branches, 4,000 mobile sales executives and around 20 million customers in Mexico. The operational costs of the branch network and the need for technological evolution have led the bank to undertake major transformation projects, both in terms of processes and technology. 

 

The Challenge


  • Eliminate paper from all transactions in a bank branch
  • Provide the same experience across every channel (branch, phone, app, web portal, etc.) with the same technological tools and security standards
  • Shift from an 80/20 ratio (80% of customers using branch channels, 20% using mobile) to a 20/80 ratio in less than 10 years

Nuestra Solución

 

Deployment of a biometric signature solution across all workstations in the branch network, with 12,000 licenses. Different hardware configurations are provided based on BBVA's needs, and the solution is rolled out across the entire branch network within 5 months.

In a second phase, the solution is deployed for mobile executives using HP, Lenovo and Microsoft devices, transforming the concept of private banking and investment banking. The customer no longer needs to visit the branch — the bank comes to wherever the customer prefers.
